My sister, Linda Cunningham, who lives in Antiqua, Guatemala has this urgent request for her daughter, Shannon Altman who lives in Virginia Beach, VA.
Shannon has been diagnosed with uterine cancer. She may be having surgery later this week. Shannon is in her 40’s,
Shannon also is in an abusive marriage with a husband who is drinking heavily. She is fearful for her life.
Shannon’s brother, who lives in Tennessee, is planning to go get his sister and bring her to his home within the next week.
Pray for Shannon, that she will have the surgery done and recovers from it.
Pray that Shannon can be taken from the abusive situation with no further harm.

It’s been a bumpy ride, but here in the latest on my niece Joyce. She had surgery Tuesday 5/11 – double bypass plus two valves repaired. She has been kept sedated since and is still in ICU with 24/7 nurse. Yesterday afternoon her heart rate and BP finally stabilized and they are slowly decreasing the sedation. She will be in ICU several more days, and probably another 10-14 days when in a room. Thanks for your continued prayers for Joyce, and for her husband John and my sister Karen who are making the 120-mile round trip daily to see her for about 20 minutes each day.

My niece Joyce's surgery has been postponed until early next week, as they need to take more fluid out first. Thank you for your continued prayers.

Please pray for my niece Joyce (60 and long-time diabetic). She is in Kaiser San Francisco awaiting bypass surgery tentatively scheduled for Friday morning at 5am. On Saturday she finally was feeling so bad that she went to the hospital where she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and they took off a lot of fluid. Further testing revealed a 100% blockage of the LAD artery (controlling the conducting system and known as the widow maker) and 90% of another artery. Just now they are taking 1 ½ gallons (that’s right) of fluid off, which means her heart is really struggling. Thank you so much. I know my sister Karen would also appreciate your prayers for peace and for wisdom for the surgical team.
