On Sunday, 1/8/2023, as part of the Senior Pastor search process, the Elders will be hosting two informal Q&A sessions with Pastor Nate Glaze. You’re welcome to attend either Q&A session and they are not limited to church members. The first will be held 9:30-10:30 AM before service in the gym (refreshments will be served). The second will be held 12:30-1:30 PM after the service in the gym (lunch will be served).
On Sunday, 1/15/2023, we will have a congregational member vote in the gym from 10:00-10:45 AM to decide the call of Pastor Nate Glaze as Senior Pastor of Bridges Community Church. The result of the vote will be communicated later in the 11:00 AM service.

The Senior Pastor search team has decided to recommend Pastor Nate Glaze to the Elder Board, as the next Senior Pastor. The Elder Board has accepted the recommendation and will now go to the next steps of the pastoral search process (EFCA review, Q&A with congregation, congregational voting) in the January/February timeframe.

The search team has identified one internal candidate and within the next few weeks will be conducting a formal interview with that candidate. Upon completion of the interview and finalization of background checks, the search team will complete its assessment of the candidate and make a decision as to a recommendation. The team humbly requests that the body continue to pray for wisdom and discernment as we seek God’s will in this process.

The Search Team would like to thank all of those who participated in the congregational survey the team released in August. The results proved to be valuable as the team worked to complete the Senior Pastor job description. At this time, the job description is complete and will be part of an opportunity package being created and made available to candidates. This package will provide details about Bridges and the surrounding community along with information about the role. In our process, the team has consulted with the EFCA West for wisdom and counsel. The team is now considering any internal candidates. If there are no candidates at Bridges who apply or make it through the process, then the search will progress to external candidates. The team requests that the congregation continue to pray for the man God has already chosen to lead Bridges for the next season. May God’s will be done! Also please continue to pray for the team as we work through the process and details of the search. Pray for the pastors, elders, staff, and all those who serve and attend Bridges. In closing, we would like to thank everyone for your trust in this team. It is amazing to work with such a wonderful team and see how God uses each person’s giftedness. We serve at the Lord’s pleasure and seek to bring Him Glory.
