We Pray
“When we work, we work. When we pray, God works.” — Hudson Taylor
At Bridges, we deeply value prayer. It shifts our perspective toward the One who is always ready to listen. We are here to pray with you, no matter what you’re facing.

Join us for a transformative experience before our Sunday Worship Gathering. Our dedicated prayer group meets to pray over the upcoming gathering, seeking God’s presence and guidance and asking Him to prepare hearts, soften spirits, and align us with His will. Whether you’re new to prayer or seasoned, join us as we seek to usher in His presence and blessings for our time together in worship.

Join us in impacting Bridges families for Christ by gathering church attendees to pray. Our vision is that every church leader, staff member, activity, and program would be covered with prayer. On the first Tuesdays, we will serve pancakes from different parts of the world!

Please pray for our family as my mother, Connie Wong, passed away at age 98 from post-covid pneumonia. She was a long-time believer and attended a San Leandro church until COVID hit. Although I don't believe anyone at Bridges knows her personally, all are welcome to attend a visitation at Chapel of the Chimes in Oakland on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 6-8 p.m.

Please pray for God's presence, love, and support for my husband Charles Marc Wilson, who is in Indiana with his dad. His dad is 92 years old and in hospice. Marc moved to CA and his dad and sisters are in Indiana. Please pray for God's continued love, will, and presence with them as they go through this sad time.

Father, thank you for continuing to bring Ron H to salvation, for moving in his heart, circumstances, and mind. For doing whatever it takes to reach his heart for Christ, and keep him from being separated from You, Lord, forever. Thank you for sending righteous men into his life to minister to him, and for showing Ron how to repent and be led to Christ. Please don't give up on him. I know You won't.

We will be holding a Celebration of Life for Dan Brown at Bridges this Monday, May 6, 11am in the Worship Center. We invite all community members to join us in honoring his memory and offering support to his loved ones during this difficult time. If you would like to contribute, you are welcome to bring a dessert or salad to share, which can be dropped off in Bldg. C. Your presence and prayers for Esther and the family are greatly appreciated as we come together to remember and celebrate the life of Dan Brown.

This came from Carol Ray.
Lisa (their daughter-in-law) is in the hospital with an abscess in her colon. Stephen took her to the ER Sunday morning and they admitted her. She has not been feeling well for about a week and knew from the symptoms it was diverticulitis which she has had before. A doctor prescribed antibiotics but she was not getting better and the pain was getting worse. A c-scan showed the abscess. Unless another c-scan shows it has gotten smaller she will probably have surgery to remove that part of her colon. She was still running a fever today. We would all appreciate prayers and if you could forward the information to whoever puts out prayer requests to the church we would really be grateful.
Thanks so much. We continue to pray for Bridges every night. We will update as we know more.

I am isolated “in the middle of nowhere” as a 43-year-old widow with a dog. I’m very lonely and miss my husband, my mom who lives too far to visit, and an old friend who recently left me. I am deeply depressed and need close attachments. Should I move? Where? When? How? Please help with peace and direction.
