Builders

Learn · Build · Serve

Building bridges of compassion, dignity, and hope through practical service.

Builders is a Life Group where people of all generations use their skills, experience, and willingness to serve others. Together, we repair what is broken, teach essential life skills, support families, and meet practical needs in our church and community.

Whether you are an experienced builder or simply ready to learn and help, there is a place for you.

Our Vision

We envision a ministry where practical skills are passed down, older and younger generations serve side by side, and people respond to needs with humility, skill, and compassion. Through a strong partnership with the Benevolence Fund, Builders can help meet needs with both financial resources and practical, hands-on care.

Our Purpose

Builders brings generations together to serve, learn, and strengthen relationships. Through hands-on projects, mentoring, and practical support, we seek to:

  • Meet practical needs in our church and community
  • Share skills, wisdom, and encouragement across generations
  • Extend the work of the Benevolence Fund with hands-on support
  • Help our church grow through serving together

What We Do

Projects may include:

  • Home repairs and maintenance
  • Bicycle repairs and tune-ups
  • Automotive repair, general knowledge, projects, and parts replacement
  • Transportation assistance, including rides and pickups
  • Church facility improvement projects
  • Mentoring and training younger members
  • Community outreach projects
  • Practical support for families assisted through the Benevolence Fund

Learn Practical Skills

Builders is not only about completing projects—it is also about passing knowledge from one generation to the next. Members may learn through hands-on workshops, one-on-one mentoring, short training sessions, and apprenticeships. Training is once a month and may include:

  • Basic home maintenance
  • Basic vehicle care
  • Bicycle maintenance and repair
  • Safe and responsible tool use
  • Planning and completing practical projects

Family-friendly learning opportunities will also help people build confidence, practice good stewardship, and develop skills they can use throughout their lives.

Who We Serve

We seek to serve anyone God brings across our path, including:

  • Bridges Community Church members
  • Local families and individuals in need
  • Students and young people who rely on bicycles
  • Single parents and widows
  • Families receiving assistance through the Benevolence Fund

A Place for Everyone

The Builders team may include lead coordinators, project captains, home repair and bicycle leads, experienced volunteers, and apprentices who want to learn.

You do not need professional experience to participate. Bring the skills you have—or come ready to learn, serve, and work alongside others.
