In our series called “Neighbors to the Nations” we seek to equip our Bridges family to communicate the gospel better. We will explore where God has planted us, seek to understand what our neighbors believe and value, and discover ways to effectively share the gospel message. We will not only hear what God’s Word says about knowing our neighbors, but will be provided opportunities to express the love of Jesus to our community.
Please pray for each other and take small steps each week to share God’s love with your neighbors in new ways. Whether you prefer to join us in an organized activity or choose a self-organized activity to do with your friends or family, there are a variety of activities where you can jump in to serve and bless others.
The primary objective of this Bike Clinic will be to clean, tune up, and inventory all children’s bikes so they can be distributed by our church and other local churches. These bikes were generously donated and will make an amazing Christmas gift for a low-income child.

Hearty Harvest is a Thanksgiving Connection Event that partners local churches with low-income families for a Thanksgiving meal. Our primary purpose in organizing this event is to facilitate meaningful connections between our churches and those in need, not just provide resources for families in need. When families come to receive their Thanksgiving meal, we will be providing an opportunity for conversation and prayer. We need volunteers to serve in different capacities to make this event a success.

This Christmas we have identified 30+ families in our community who we want to shower with love and support. Families are currently being interviewed, and we are compiling a short family bio and some ideas for gifts for the children. We need people to pick a family and provide gifts. You can choose to deliver them or we have volunteers available to deliver them for you.
This series provides a great opportunity to gather family or friends to serve your neighborhood. Register your activity with us so that we may celebrate where you are getting involved. Below are suggested opportunities to get you started:
Groups identify a park, street, or school in their neighborhood to clean. Members spend an hour together collecting trash.
Putting up Christmas Lights
This project requires two dates to be decided by your group, one to put up the lights and one to take them down. Contact the homeowner to coordinate.
Groups identify a local neighbor with mobility issues (elderly, disabled, etc.). Members work together to clean gutters and rake leaves. Ladders available at the church to borrow.
During this series, we want you to be praying for your neighbors. We created a card you can have to use as a reminder. Download a digital version you can fill out on your computer here, or pick up a hard copy at the info desk.
We want you to say yes to neighboring. Download this card for ideas on ways to continue practicing what we learned in this series.
