Prayer Ministry

“Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God… and pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests…” —Eph. 6:10-18

The Prayer Ministry of Bridges Community Church is critical to our spiritual health and our ability to carry out Our Mission. We believe a growing hunger for intimacy with God is demonstrated by reading, studying and applying God’s Word, praying consistently, praising, thanking, and adoring God throughout each day, and keeping short accounts with God for the sin in our lives through consistent confession and repentance.

According to the EFCA’s Ten Leading Indicators of a Healthy Church prayer is a major part of having “passionate spirituality”.

Passionate Spirituality

“Be filled with the Spirit…” —Eph. 5:18-21

“Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God… and pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests…” —Eph. 6:10-18

We recognize that it is only the presence and power of the Holy Spirit that enables us to live authentic, transformed lives. The prayer lives of our congregations reflect a deep dependence upon God. Experiencing God and following Him are traits of our ministries.
