Interests

Fred and Laurie love long walks and scenic drives together, the beauty of the mountains and ocean, and hot fudge on just about anything. We cherish family and traditions. Fred enjoys sports. He played football in high school and was nominated for all-league. His body refuses to perform what his brain imagines ever since he severed his Achilles in a basketball game down in Texas. The story of this event becomes more phenomenal each time it's told. His golf score and bowling score are about the same. He enjoys reading books and learning the latest software programs. He is the worst trivia player in the family. He loves to play dominos. He enjoys country music and roller-blading. He enjoys playing and watching football and baseball. He enjoys camping in the outdoors and tinkering with computers.

Celebrity History

Fred's closest encounter with fame involved eating dinner next to Robert Goulet at a Fellowship of Christian Athletes fund raising banquet.

Talents

He once wore a blond wig in order to play guitar in a Swedish band at a church social. Everything he knows about home repair he learned from Tool Time Tim on Home Improvements sitcom. Most of his sermon illustrations come from home repair attempts. Laurie always keeps plenty of Band-Aids on hand.

Favorite Food

Pizza, cheesecake, chicken Kiev, chicken enchiladas, popcorn, diet coke, and Good & Plenty candy.

Adventures

Getting lost in Bombay, India; White water river rafting down the American River; and bicycling from Golden State Park to Carmel.

Why He's Weird

He'd rather take a bubble bath than shower. He loves bitter lemon soda.
